Your Questions, Answered
Making decisions about your health can feel daunting, especially if you’re already tired, overwhelmed, or unsure who to trust.
This FAQ page is here to offer clarity and reassurance before you book, so you know exactly what to expect when working with Rebecca McGrath Naturopath
General Information
-
A naturopath supports health by looking at the whole person - including symptoms, health history, lifestyle, stress, sleep, nutrition and life stage rather than focusing on isolated issues. My role is to help identify underlying drivers of symptoms and create a personalised, realistic plan that supports long-term wellbeing.
-
I work with adults of all ages, particularly people navigating stress, burnout, brain fog, poor sleep, life transitions (including perimenopause), digestive concerns and healthy ageing. Many clients are carers, professionals or retirees who feel overwhelmed and want calm, clear guidance.
-
No referral is required. You can book directly without seeing another practitioner first.
-
In-person appointments are available in Ashfield, Sydney. I also offer telehealth appointments Australia-wide, which many clients find convenient and effective.

Service and Appointment Details

The initial appointment is a 75-minute, in-depth conversation. We explore your current concerns, health history, medications and supplements, lifestyle factors, stress, sleep, and health goals. This allows me to understand the full picture and begin identifying meaningful next steps.

Yes. I offer a 15-minute free discovery phone call for people who want to see if we’re a good fit before booking. No health advice is given, but it’s a helpful way to ask questions and gain clarity.
-
Yes. Telehealth is available for Initial and Follow-Up appointments, and Acute Care appointments are telehealth only. Telehealth works very well for most concerns and allows flexibility if you’re busy or not Sydney-based.
-
Rather than treating conditions in isolation, I support patterns of health concerns such as stress, fatigue, brain fog, hormonal changes, digestive issues, sleep problems and cognitive support. Care is always personalised to your situation and life stage.
-
When appropriate, I may recommend nutritional supplements or herbal medicine. These are always explained clearly, used thoughtfully, and tailored to your individual needs — never generic or excessive.

That’s very common. My approach is gentle and realistic. We prioritise what matters most and build change gradually, based on your capacity and life circumstances.

Many people who book their first appointment do so simply because they want clarity, reassurance and a sense of direction.
